Homemade ‘Vapor’ Shower Disks
(adapted recipe via Frugal by Choice, Cheap by Necessity)

2 1/4 C baking soda
3/4 C water
15 drops (each) lavender, eucalyptus and rosemary essential oil
24 count mini muffin tin
24 mini muffin paper liners

In a large bowl, combine your baking soda and water. Stir thoroughly to combine (the consistency will be a soupy paste). Add your essential oils, 15 drops of each, into your paste mixture and stir.
Spoon your mixture into your lined muffin tin and allow the disks to dry 18- 24 hours.

To use, remove the liner from the disk and place disk on the shower floor and into the water stream of a warm shower. Shower as normal and breath in the wonderful vapors from the disk that should help to clear your stuffy nose and sinuses.

“A week ago, I caught a cold, and to my horror, it turned into asthma. It’s been almost a year since my last asthma attack. Last time it happened, I had to get on inhalers, my breathing machine, and Prednisone. I rubbed a few drops on the bottoms of my feet (along with all the other asthma oils), and swallowed several drops in a gel capsule. With asthma, the bronchioles become inflamed, so I figured Frankincense would help, because it is an anti-inflammatory. And as the saying goes, “when in doubt, use Frankincense!”
I also dripped a few drops of Breathe into my hands, rubbed them together, then cupped them around my face and breathed in through my nose. I was amazed at how well this worked in decreasing the wheezing/congestion, and in opening me up. It became my natural breathing machine, instead of the one you plug into the wall and fill with medication such as albuterol, which causes rapid heart rate, shakiness, nausea, and anxiety.
I did this many times throughout the day and it always brought relief….
I also put the asthma oils on my chest, and put a moist heating pad directly on my skin. The moist heat helps drive those oils into the body….
By evening, I started to realize that my asthma was almost gone! Usually asthma gets worse at night, so I was really surprised that it was getting so much better!
