dōTERRA’s DDR Prime Essential Oil Cellular Complex

DDR Prime

DDR Prime Cellular Complex

-

dōTERRA’s DDR Prime™ Essential Oil Cellular Complex is a proprietary blend of CPTG Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade® essential oils combined to support healthy cell biogenesis, function, and renewal. DDR Prime includes the pure aromatic compounds of frankincense, wild orange, lemongrass, thyme, summer savory, clove, and niaouli that have been shown in clinical studies to support cellular health and vitality.

-

Concept

As the basic structure of all living things, cells perform three primary functions: they make copies of themselves, they perform a specialized function, and they self-destruct when they are not performing their first two functions correctly. As we age, cellular function can be compromised by poor nutrition, obesity, stress, and exposure to harmful environmental influences such as infectious microorganisms and toxic chemicals. When cellular DNA and other structures are compromised, cells can fail to regenerate, fail to function as programmed, and fail to initiate the normal and healthy process of cellular turnover and renewal.

-

Cellular Renewal through Apoptosis

Cells have a limited lifespan for performing their many unique and specialized functions in an organism. A normal and natural mechanism for maintaining optimal cell function is a process of cellular renewal called apoptosis in which older cells are eliminated through a process of self-regulated destruction, and new cells are made to replace old cells. Through this process, humans replace the approximate equivalent of their body weight in new cells every year! If cellular apoptosis and regeneration are compromised, sub-optimal health conditions may follow. Staying young and enjoying a long life of vitality begins with healthy cellular function.

-

Free Radical Molecules and DNA

Free radical molecules are molecules with one or more unpaired electrons that can potentially damage cellular structures including cellular DNA. Found in the nucleus of each cell, DNA stores the instructions for cellular regeneration, function, repair, and apoptosis. When DNA is compromised, cell function can be compromised and unhealthy conditions such as the early onset of degenerative conditions associated with aging can be accelerated.Antioxidants are molecules with one or more electrons to spare. Antioxidants can neutralize free-radical molecules stopping their destructive cycle of damage to cellular DNA and compromised cellular function. Although our bodies can produce some antioxidants, we primarily depend on dietary sources of antioxidants to neutralize free-radical stress on cells. Eating foods that are rich in natural antioxidants, such as fruits and vegetables, managing stress, and limiting our exposure to external sources of toxic free-radical molecules can help support cellular longevity and vitality.

Testimonies

“Ylang Ylang was the very first essential oil that I tried and it really caught my attention in minutes. It had been a long time and I was feeling a bit frayed around the edges. A friend gave my a couple of drops of Ylang Ylang on my wrists to try. I will tell you I was EXTREMELY skeptical. I tried it and then went about to forget about it. About 10-15 minutes later I noticed something, the frays around my edges were now gone??? I just felt a sense of calm…..The closest thing I can relate it to is when you have a glass of wine. Within the first few sips you feel a calm come over you that is later followed by the buzz. Well the feeling the Ylang Ylang gave me was the calm without the buzz. It was nice. But I don’t convince that easy, and I had to try it over and over and sure enough it brought on an amazing calm”

Thank you doTERRA’s ylang ylang!! I am 38.5 weeks pregnant, on bed rest for extremely high blood pressure. I have been using our ylang ylang for 3 days and my BP is back to normal!! Thanks for making such amazing and pure products!! -Rhonda DeSantis Woodruff

Native to India, the grass also grows in Java, the Seychelles, Reunion, Brazil, Haiti and Japan. Its nature as the oil of tranquility is reflected in a dark amber liquid that is so thick and almost treacle-like. It is a beautiful oil for the home as it can help with many day to day ailments.

Here are the five reasons to love vetiver essential oil:

Reason #1: Vetiver essential oil is deeply relaxing

Known as the oil of tranquility, it is beneficial for anyone experiencing stress, anxiety, insomnia or depression. It is a nervine (strengthens the nerves and nervous system) and sedative (reduces nervousness, distress and agitation) therefore the perfect oil to help you ground, relax and balance yourself in “I want to scream and pull my hair out” moments.

Reason #2: Vetiver essential oil is great for skin, especially wrinkles and stretchmarks

Its vulnerary (prevent tissue regeneration and promotes wound healing) and cicatrisant (promotes formation of scar tissue) properties make it excellent for healing tired and stressed skin.

It is excellent for revitalizing skin after childbirth to minimize stretchmarks. It can also help with cuts, wounds and scars. It is helpful in daily skincare in the treatment of dry, dehydrated skin as well as bruises. Very moisturizing, it can even be used in facial blends for wrinkles. It is up there with a woman’s best friend.

Reason #3: Vetiver essential oil is very effective at relieving muscular aches

Vetiver oil is rubefacient (meaning it’s warming and increases blood flow) and therefore superb in the treatment of general body aches and pains, bruises, rheumatism and arthritis.

The use of vetiver in a massage blend is a deeply relaxing treatment that soothes aches and pains and is highly recommended for anyone with sore joints. Very good for massage in stressful times that manifest into a very sore and achy body.

Reason #4: Vetiver essential oil is superb at helping PMS and menopausal issues

Vetiver oil is an excellent oil to have in the house when there are women around (of any age!). Whether it is you that suffers PMS or menopausal symptoms or the person you live with, vetiver essential oil is a star in helping to regulate hormones!

It is said to regulate the secretion of estrogen and progesterone, making it very helpful during menopause. Its cooling action also helps with hot flushes and its grounding action helps to balance the emotions.

PMS can be caused by estrogen deficiency and therefore is helpful for the same reasons as menopause. Its uplifting and grounding nature can help with unbalanced emotions during the menstrual period.

Reason #5: Vetiver essential oil is great for the digestive system

Vetiver oil is able to support the body’s restorative, absorptive and anabolic functions. It is therefore useful for stimulating a poor appetite, for weight loss, in cases of anemia and malabsorption. It is also said to be helpful for a congested liver and pancreas.

Vetiver oil is a gounding and uplifting essential oil great for revitalizing the skin, relaxing the mind and relieving muscular aches and pains, treating PMS and menopausal symptoms and helping with digestive complaints.

For the oil burner or diffuser it blends excellently with essential oils of frankincense, grapefruit, lemon, sandalwood and ylang ylang.

Most recently, parents have found it highly effective in treating ADD or ADHD as an alternative to Ritalin and other prescription medications.
-
Recently, Dr. Terry Friedman MD, did a 2 year study of children between the ages of 6-12 years old, trying to identify essential oils useful in the treatment of ADD/ADHD. Vetiver Oil was shown to be highly successful with a 100% of the subjects over a 30 day period when the children felt “scatter brained”. Dr Friedman used the inhalation method.
-

Typical Applications

Apply 3-4 drops of vetiver to a child’s back or the bottom of their feet using a carrier oil immediately following a shower and prior to bed time. With experience combine vetiver with a balancing, uplifting, or relaxing blend to enhance the help. The synergistic combination with a single oil such as lavender, ylang ylang or clary sage will also be effective.

Application has also historically proven helpful through the olfactory system (inhalation). Prepare a tissue cup or inhaler to be used when anxiety or other symptoms of ADHD are felt.

I keep it handy and use it whenever I feel a headache coming on. I have shared Past Tense with co-workers for back pain and pinched nerve pain. It is wonderful for all sorts of tense and/or achy muscles and joints. One of my co-workers said he’d like to buy it by the 50 gallon drum. -Thauna

This blend is smartly bottled in a roller to roll on temples and base of skull for headache pain and tension. It’s worked for me, and my customers say it works for them. Treating pain is one thing for which essential oils are generally very effective. -Jenni

Here is an interesting thing – my friend Cindi Byrd used her PAST TENSE ROLL ON for a cold sore and it worked to get rid of it!!! -Tony and Sharyl Yeisley

I was completely blown away by how amazing Past Tense is. I get headaches frequently and have always taken Motrin. Past Tense is so amazing I honestly go to that first. my daughter hasn’t been feeling well the last few days. she complained of having a headache so I ran to get my roll-on. she was happy not to have to take a pill & I was happy not to be giving her a pill. this is a must have for every home & medicine cabinet! – Tara

So, I just want to give a shout out to Past Tense. A doTERRA roll-on blend that is amazing! I had a headache the other night and honestly, I don’t get many headaches but this one was a bad one. I got out my trusty oils and decided to try the Past Tense. I rolled it on my forehead, tempals (staying out of my eyes!!), and the back of my neck, the headache went away. It was great! The only thing was that 15 minutes later, I could feel the headache coming back. This is exactly when I know I need to use “the power of three”, ha ha ha… I apply the oil three times in one hour, every 20 minutes. If one application doesn’t work the first time to relieve my symptoms, usually this three application process does. Sometimes it takes more or less, but this usually works for me. Anyway, after the second application my headache was gone, never to return. Thank goodness! This also made me realize the reason for my headache. I was getting too wound up that day, too much going on in my head. That night I took a bath with bath salt made with doTERRA oils, that I of course made myself. I love that I can learn to control my stress and mood with using these amazing oils - Natalie

Bergamot Essential Oil

DoTerra Bergamot Essential Oil

A highly favored oil for its lovely fragrance, Bergamot is unique among citrus oils for its calming properties. dōTERRA®, in keeping with the CPTG Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade® standard, cold-presses the oil from the rind of the bergamot fruit. For aromatic, topical, or internal use.

Application:

  • Topically – Can be applied neat to the skin. Can be applied to forehead, reflex points or directly onto the area of concern.
  • Aromatically – Can also be diffused.
  • Internally – Can be added to food or water to be taken internally. Bergamot has been classified as GRAS by the FDA for human consumption.

The health benefits of Bergamot Essential Oil can be attributed to its properties like deodorant, vulnerary, vermifuge, anti biotic, anti septic, anti spasmodic, sedative, analgesic, anti depressant, disinfectant, febrifuge, cicatrisant, digestive etc.

Bergamot is a citrus fruit whose rind is used for extracting the Bergamot Oil. The scientific name of Bergamot is Citrus Aurantium var. or Citrus Bergamia. It is a tropical plant but thrives well in Europe too.

This oil has been used in the Middle East for hundreds of years to help oily complexions and troubled skin.  It may also be used to soothe insect bites.  It is also what gives Earl Grey Tea its distinctive flavor.

Bergamot Oil has a very sweet smell and a number of medicinal and industrial uses due to its properties listed below

  • Anti depressant & Stimulant: The components of Bergamot Oil, like Alpha Pinene and Limonene, are anti depressant and stimulant in nature. They give a feeling of freshness, joy and energy in cases of sadness and depression by improving circulation. They also stimulate hormone secretion and thus help maintaining proper rates of metabolism. This stimulating effect increases secretion of digestive juices, bile and insulin, thereby aiding digestion, proper absorption of nutrients, assimilation and decomposition of sugar and the resultant lowering of blood sugar level.
  • Relaxant & Sedative: The Flavonoids present in Bergamot oil are very good relaxants too. They soothe nerves and reduce nervous tension, anxiety, stress etc. and hence help cure ailments associated with stress such as sleeplessness, high blood pressure etc.
  • Anti Biotic & Disinfectant: Certain components of the essential oil of Bergamot are anti biotic and disinfectant in nature. They inhibit growth of germs, virus and fungi. They also effectively prohibit infections, such as those of skin. If regularly used with bathing water or in soaps (this is already used extensively in skin-care soaps), the skin and hair remains protected from infections and become shiny. It also cures infections of colon, intestines, urinary tract and kidney
  • Anti Septic & Vulnerary: The same disinfectant and anti biotic properties of Bergamot Oil make it a good anti septic and vulnerary agent. It not only helps fast healing up of wounds, cracks on skin and heels, ulcers, eczema, itches etc. but also protects wounds from being septic and developing tetanus.
  • Febrifuge: Febrifuge is a substance or an agent that reduces fever and lowers body temperature. Bergamot is a good febrifuge due to many reasons. First, being an anti biotic, it fights infections from virus, bacteria and protozoa which cause fever, such as influenza (virus), malaria (protozoa) and typhoid (typhus bacteria), and thus helps curing fever. Second, it stimulates the metabolic system and secretions, thereby giving a feeling of warmth and resulting in more secretion (perspiration or sweat) from the Eccrine glands (sweat glands) and sebaceous (sebum) glands, thus reducing body temperature.
  • Analgesic: It reduces the feeling of pain in the body. Actually it stimulates secretion of certain hormones which lessen sensitivity of nerves to pain. Thus it is very helpful in case of headache, sprains etc. all those symptoms which require heavy dosage of analgesic pills.
  • Digestive: As discussed above, it activates and increases secretions of the digestive acids, enzymes and bile and facilitates digestion. It also synchronizes or regulates the peristaltic motion of the intestines and this way too, help in digestion.
  • Cicatrisant: This property of Bergamot oil is the reason behind its extensive use in cosmetics, skin-care products such as beauty soaps, creams, lotions etc. Cicatrisant is a property or an agent which helps the scar and other marks on the skin to disappear. It also makes the distribution of pigments and melanin even and uniform, resulting in the fading away of marks.
  • Deodorant: No doubt, this property of bergamot oil is going to attract the teenagers who are after every new deodorant in the market and desperately want something really refreshing and natural. This is an excellent deodorant. Its own refreshing aroma (fragrance) and disinfectant properties (which inhibit growth of germs causing body-odor) make it a really effective and attractive package as a deodorant.
  • Anti Spasmodic: It relaxes nerves and muscles and thus gives quick relief in cramps, convulsions, painful muscle contractions etc.
  • Vermifuge: It kills worms. Thus it is going to be a very fragrant choice for children who have worms. It can also be applied on the affected tooth or used as a mouthwash to kill oral germs and protect teeth from cavities.

Other Benefits:

It is also Tonic, that is, it tones up respiratory, circulatory, digestive, excretory, nervous system as well as skin and muscles. It is also anti congestive and is used in vaporizers to relieve congestion and respiratory problems, particularly during cough and cold.

Few Words of Caution:

Bergamot Oil must be protected from sunlight. Bergaptene, one of its components, becomes poisonous if exposed to sunlight. That is why it should be stored in dark bottles in dark places. Even exposure to sunlight should be avoided after it is applied or rubbed on skin (for 72 hours)

Testimonials:

I LOVE this EO. I use it primarily for CP soaping, but it is an excellent scent for aromatherapy, massage, homemade cleaners, & creams. Everyone always wants to know what smell that is they can’t put their finger on. I always think of trees, oranges, and spices when I smell it. If you have never tried it, get some now!

I use this oil (topically) primarily for its antispasmodic qualities. Combined with lavender, it does a wonderful job of helping me relax and let go at the end of the day.

-Ashley Phipps

Bergamot is one of my favorites for use in Aromatherapy. The sweet scent is not overpowering, yet it works wonders.
